Lake Fishing with FOLBOT's TACTICAL FOLDING KAYAK [Review by AOSHi]
There are many activities to enjoy in nature, and lure fishing is one of the most popular.
Exploring vast fields like Lake Biwa and dam lakes by kayak while enjoying fishing...
I also love such lure fishing, and especially black bass, which is popular as a game fish, is irresistible!
It's a fish that can be targeted all year round, but its activity is particularly high from summer to autumn, and the sight of them aggressively chasing lures is addictive.
I tried using FOLBOT's "TACTICAL FOLDING KAYAK" for bass fishing with lures.
FOLBOT's "TACTICAL FOLDING KAYAK."
As the name suggests, it's an assembly-type kayak that fits into a duffel bag, so it can be stored compactly, and you can enjoy kayaking anywhere just by keeping it in your car! This is truly great!
The main unit weighs approximately 16kg, which is lightweight, so you can carry it to launch even if the water's edge is a little far away.
It's also easy to lift lightly when moving it on a car rack.
And most of all, it looks cool!!
It is designed with "TACTICAL" as its concept, and its rugged, army-like appearance boosts the rider's spirits.
Assembly is similar to setting up a tent.
I usually go fishing alone, but I can easily assemble it by myself.
When I put it on the lake, I was initially surprised by its stability!
Since it's an assembly type, I thought it might be somewhat unreliable, but this folding kayak can accommodate two adults, so I felt that its buoyancy and stability were outstanding.
I actually tried fishing with it, and thanks to the kayak's stability, casting was easy, and there was no wobbling during casting, allowing me to concentrate on fishing comfortably.
During periods of high fish activity, the fish chase lures close to the edge of the kayak and bite, which is incredibly fun!
Although the hull is a bit long, the main unit is light, so paddling is effortless and smooth, and you can easily change direction.
It's a fantastic kayak for a run-and-gun style in open areas.
Since the hull is light, it is a bit vulnerable to wind and water currents, so caution is needed in strong winds on vast bodies of water like Lake Biwa, or in high waves and swells on the lake surface on bad weather days.
While such days can sometimes lead to better fishing results, it's also important to prioritize safety (don't forget to wear a PFD/life jacket!).
Assembly is easy, and it's a kayak with good buoyancy and stability, so I think both experienced kayakers and beginners will be able to get the hang of it quickly.
For those who want to try kayaking but are concerned about storage space or transportation methods, FOLBOT's kayak, which can be taken anywhere in a single bag, is highly recommended.

I am very satisfied with its performance, which is in no way inferior to hard-shell kayaks.
Even scenery I usually see, when viewed from a kayak on the lake, has a different atmosphere, and I discover new places like, "Was there really a spot like this!"
Spending graceful time in nature is an extraordinary and wonderful experience.
I hope that people who have never kayaked before, and those who fish and want to try kayaking, will definitely give it a try. (fin.)
